We are in, and facing some potentially ‘dark’ times? I have heard may familiar Prophet’s warning of an impending famine, and exhorting many to ‘stock ‘up. Inflation has prices ‘out of sight’, and many paychecks not able to cover, present costs. Many are now in ‘survival’ mode.
However, because of that seems like ‘revival’ to many seems, not very important. The enemy has managed to convince many that ‘survival’ has got to take precedence over, ‘revival’.
The Bible however, promises over and over again, how He clothes the lilies, and feeds the sparrows, and HE will provide, for His remnant. Do we really believe it, and are willing to put God to the ‘test’.
I keep hearing in my spirit the righteous will never beg for bread. That actually is in the Bible. What does it mean to be ‘righteous’. Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteousness. Also, in the WORD.
The enemy has managed to take away from these promises to God’s people, by instilling fear, making survival the main focus. Fear of loss, and more. In fact, the enemy even uses God’s people to propagate this agenda. I have heard at least ‘main line ‘Prophetic Words, that did not offer the hope of God’s protection and provision? What’s up with that? Focus on the lost, and individual revival has taken a ‘back seat’, to survival mentality.
Did GOD tell you, to stock up? Or is it fear? Or if it came out of a known prophet’s mouth, you can ‘take it to the bank’, attitude?! God’s people can hear God themselves, and my feeling is, if God tells you to go raid Costco, and stock up, then do it? If not do a ‘fear check’. But mostly do a ‘spiritual check’. If you are clean and in right standing with GOD, you have NOTHING to worry about. God will always supply, ‘manna’, and Joseph’s, and more to provide. Not because I say it, but I believe God’s Word.
What is revival? The term implies that something is dead and needs reviving. It means deep and sincere repentance, which implies change! I am willing to bet if this was done on a mass scale, the Governmental and Spiritual climate would change, that fast! It’s a Biblical principle!
If you go to 2 Chronicles 7:14, lets back up to verse 13.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14
English Standard Version
13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land’ ESV via BIBLE GATEWAY
This is the season to remember Emmanuel, God with us…Let’s keep the main thing, the main thing! If we need to get right with GOD, as a church, or on an individual level, do it? WE CAN BE THE GAME CHANGERS in what’s happening now. God, I believe is calling the church to get on their face and, take seriously the scripture in 1 Samuel 15:22.
‘Obedience is better than sacrifice’
Jesus was sent here to ‘save us’ and restore relationship with the Father! Let’s honor Him because we are thankful and love, Him. He is the only one that can ‘save us’, period. I believe He is trying to get out attention.
Not the traditional Christmas message, but necessary!
