Do You Really Believe

DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE?

Then Abram believed in (affirmed, trusted in, relied on, remained steadfast to) the LORD; and He counted (credited) it to him as righteousness (doing right in regard to God and man). Genesis 15:6 via Bible Hub

   Righteousness is also defined as being in right standing with God.

Nelson's Bible Dictionary defines faith as a belief in or confident attitude toward God, involving commitment to his will for one's life. Nelson also says belief is to place one's trust in God's truth. A person who believes is one who takes God at his word and trusts in him for salvation.

One of Webster's definition of believe is having a 'wholehearted persuasion!'

 

   I think we can all agree we are in challenging times! I should be worried, fearful, and maybe even upset. Instead, I am enjoying joy, and peace, and happiness.  Now does that make sense, in the natural? Nope!

   I have been searching for the why’s to my current state of mind, in the midst of chaos. Was I in denial? Nope, that was not it. Do I not like confrontation? Nope not that either? Do I like what is happening around me? No? The reason for my calm, that was resounding in my spirit was, that I BELIEVE God! I BELIEVE all of what the LORD has told me in my spirit, but most importantly what is in His Word.

   It started with a conversation I had amongst a group of “Believers” (isn’t that an interesting play on word) recently. We were all about the situation we are all faced with in our society and government.

   I interrupted the animated conversation laden with details that should have everyone’s hair standing on end. The interaction revolved around what’s going on, the displeasure about it, what can we do, and more.  I sensed the conversation about the chaos had generated fear amongst the group, was going nowhere.  All sorts of hypotheticals were thrown out as well, and I just said finally, ‘I am not going there’. I refuse to let what’s going on define and dominate me, and I meant it with every fiber of my being. I BELIEVE GOD has this!”

   I also explained that this is exactly what the enemy wanted. He (the enemy) wants to derail people from whatever, and wherever God is leading us, before ‘Chicken Little the Sky Is Falling” happened.  By the way, and is still happening, almost every day, seems like. I began to share details of miracles over the last 68 years of my life, of God had done, and is still doing for me.  I mentioned many of the intricacies, and minute details God was accomplishing for me as well. How He saved my life, literally, many times. I continued with detailing the favor He has blessed me with, as well. So was this same God that never changes, protected me so much, was going to literally dump me in the ocean. NOPE, I do not believe that! I know the people I was with and how, God had done same in their lives, over and over, miracles. Why was this time different, then? For some reason I got the impression they thought, that this time was different. NO!!!

   Was I more special than anyone else? Nope! So, what was my secret? Over and over again, I just believe Him! He also brings to my mind over and over, his faithfulness to me. He replays for me how He has kept me, and His faithfulness in doing that. Even in the most miniscule things! Even replacing things, I need without me even asking Him! One of the biggest questions I ask myself, goes like this. If I don’t believe God at His Word, why do I even bother reading the bible?? Let me tell you, that was an eye opener, for me! Everyone should ask themselves that question. It brought it home to me, I’d better start putting feet to His Word!

   So back to the group conversation. I was then asked by one person, “What will you do if “they” come to your home’. I said I will deal with it when, and if it happens?? But based on my track record with the Lord I don’t think God would put me in that position! The bible says, HE will never give me more than I can bear!

1 Corinthians 10:13

¹³ No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].  Via Bible Gateway

 Do we really believe that nugget????

 When I start to get attacked by worry, the Lord quickly reminds me, “I’ve got this”. “Ok Lord, I believe You’.

   If you cannot hear his RHEMA voice we have HIS WRITTEN WORD!

Proverbs 29:18 AMPLIFIED

'Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].'

We need to be tuned into His heart on the matter, no matter what our understanding is.

 

  You see there is no one person on this earth, that is going to solve what is going on in our country and world. Nope! It needs a “GOD fix’. SO, we could speculate ad nauseum, over and over….

  My latest saying is, grab a cup of tea, and enjoy the show”. God is true to His word. There are so many biblical principles being violated, that it is  not if God will act, it is WHEN? In the meantime, I have so much on my plate, I just put one foot in front of the other, the best I can. I let Him guide and direct me every day. It is getting easier and easier.

   Ever wonder why so many more healings and signs and wonders happen in third world countries. You guessed it, they BELIEVE GOD, they have nothing else to go on! They are ripe for MIRACLES! See God likes to show off and glorify Himself! Are you seeing a pattern yet?

   Can you look over your life to see His faithfulness in your circumstances, and encourage yourself in the Lord? We have been taught in this country especially, to be SELF reliant! We are encouraged to pull up our ‘big girl’ or ‘big man ‘pants and get on with it. But God tells us to roll our burdens on Him, and take His yoke upon us which is light.

     Matthew 11:28-30

²⁸ “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. ²⁹ Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. ³⁰ For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.” Via Bible Gateway

    Do you really believe those words?? All of His words?!

Is there a ‘yes but ‘in there? If so doubt and unbelief has crept in.

     I remember when the LORD impressed on my husband and I to quit our jobs and move to California for ministry, in 1993! Yup and we did! He laid out the plan and it happened just like He said. In fact, for reasons I cannot say, it was Him that clearly took care of us, the whole 14 years, we were there, not us.

    Before we left, I recorded a song. One of the lines was, “when I was in my lowest valley His strong hand was leading me’. Believe me I have never experienced that more vividly, then when we sojourned like Abraham, into our unknown land. No friends and just Five thousand dollars to our name!

    We just believed Him. He met us where we needed, and then some. Best of all He continues to do so. I believe righteousness (right standing with God) has been accounted unto us, just like Abraham. Not from works, but from radical obedience to His directives and Believing His word. John says, He is the WORD!

    With where we are in history right now, we need to stand on our track records with Him. We all have one! I have so many stories, this would be a book.

    Last Monday I just said to Jesus, ‘I BELIEVE YOU’, and I do.

    I also believe that Believing GOD in this fashion brings the most amazing favor, and breakthroughs. I have experienced same. But for me and my house we know, no other way.

Now if God tells me do write a letter, make a call, or whatever to participate in being a game Changer in this world. I do. But I recognize that just one drop of His blood was enough, and that ALL my situations are in His hands!

   Hence, I am free to be a child again, knowing as a small child does, Papa will take care of what I need. Am I naïve? No. My bible says, I need to come to Him with childlike faith, and just KNOW and BELIEVE, “GOD’s GOT THIS”!

   Matthew 18:2-4

Amplified Bible

² He called a little child and set him before them, ³ and said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent [that is, change your inner self—your old way of thinking, live changed lives] and become like children [trusting, humble, and forgiving], you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. ⁴ Therefore, whoever ^[a]humbles himself like this child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven Bible Gateway

 So, I leave you all with DO YOU BELIEVE? Really? If not, then it is worth a conversation with the LORD to have Him help you with this.? The bible says in Hebrews without faith we cannot please GOD.

Hebrews 11:6

Amplified Bible

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.

 

   For me my faith is more pumped up every day, as He meets me in the areas, I BELIEVE HIM with. Believing Him as also opened up grace, and protection to me, in unimaginable ways! The possibilities are limitless!

    I am going to end with Psalm 91

Psalm 91

Amplified Bible

Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord.

91 He who ^[a]dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”

For He will save you from the trap of the fowler,
And from the deadly pestilence.
