Turbulence
Turbulence ???!!!
On my way to Dallas on November 30th, leaving Rochester, New York, my plane encountered a tremendous amount of turbulence. For the entire trip from NY to Dallas, the seat belt signs remained in place, and even the flight attendants had to remain seated and belted, we were rocking and a rolling. There were no snacks or drinks on this leg of the trip.
What was even more interesting was that, even though we had to “sit tight”, we got to our destination 20 minutes sooner. I assume there was a tailwind.
I could hear the Holy Spirit begin to birth a message so here goes:
Tell My people that turbulent times are ahead, but what happened in this plane for you, was an example of what I want them to do.
1) Listen to the Pilot and remain seated with your seatbelt securely fashioned in place. He went on to say the belt represented the belt of Truth.
2) If we refuse to obey we may run the risk of injury, this represented rebellion and taking matters into our own hands.
3) The Pilot is ever vigilant and ready to act at any time. Surely we will get to our destination a lot faster and safer than if we tried to do it ourselves.
4) Fasting and praying is what He wants us to so while we wait and are ‘sitting tight’, as we are in ‘flight’.
5) Know where all the exit signs are, and the flotation device under the seat. These represent aids that GOD gives us in His word for particular instances.
I sense God is saying there is turbulence around in our government, personal lives, extended families, in the church, with our friends. I also sense Him saying that our very lives will depend on it, as this next ‘shift’ in the Spirit occurs, with all of its turbulence. Be assured that we will arrive safe and on time, and perhaps ahead of schedule when we obey. But get ready for the ride of your life.
